Who collects the guest’s money on a direct booking site?

Short answer: You collect the guest’s money. KeepItDirect never holds guest funds and does not operate a Stripe checkout for you.

You take the guest’s payment. Book Direct on a KeepItDirect site is a form, email, or phone path to the owner.

KeepItDirect does not hold guest funds.
KeepItDirect does not run a Stripe (or other) checkout on your behalf.
You stay in total control of how you get paid—Venmo, check, your own processor, whatever you already use.

That is intentional: mom-and-pop hosts with 1–4 properties often want a simple site, not another booking engine.
